Help us to comprehend shape complexity

Our mission

We wish to create a dataset that quantifies shape complexity. The goal is to share this data with the broader research community as a source for downstream research topics. It is hoped that by enriching a shape dataset with complexity information, it will be possible to evaluate and develop algorithms that are proficient at estimating complexity automatically.

What is shape complexity?

Shape complexity remains an ill-defined concept. Furthermore, our understanding of how humans intuitively evaluate complexity in 3D remains limited. The perceptual complexity of a shape is considered to be a multi-faceted construct involving several factors. [1]
